Mike The Tiger

When is a sports movie not a sports movie? When it focuses on the mascot and not the team. LSU's Mike the Tiger is the subject of such a film in the works right now.

Mike the Tiger doesn't ask for much, but he's got a special request for LSU students.

He might seem ferocious but put any mammal in the snow and they will revert back to their childhood. Mike the Tiger is no exception.

It might seem harmless to us but to Mike VII, the LSU mascot, it could be deadly.

There could be a new tiger in town. LSU has potentially located Mike VII just in time for football season.

An LSU student starts a petition to remove the mascot

LSU plans to have a new live tiger mascot on campus by August, replacing one that died in October following months of treatment for a rare form of cancer.
