I-10 crash

Interstate 10 East was closed just past the Butte La Rose exit as emergency crews extinguished a vehicle on fire.

Videos and photos from a fatal crash along I-10 West near Crowley show the severity of the incident that has reportedly left one person dead and two more injured. The initial crash was followed by two more smaller incidents that have caused serious traffic issues for those on the Interstate.

All three were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Officials are on the scene, and we are hoping for more details soon.

A massive fire shut down I-10 East near I-310 in St. Charles Parish on Monday afternoon.

Saturday evening a man in an all-white suit got of his car over the Bonnet Carre Spillway on I-10 and using a handgun, started shooting people and cars.

Earlier this morning I-10 West was closed at mile marker 119 due to a vehicle fire.

It happened in the eastbound lanes just after 5 am at the Mills St overpass.

UPDATE - The I-10 exit in Scott is now open.
