Music Piracy Down Since LimeWire Calls It Quits

I think LimeWire has been around since the birth of the Internet! And now that the company has dissolved, you can see how much LimeWire had affects on music piracy.

When word first came out about the impending lawsuit against LimeWire, everyone I know was talking about it.  And at the same time, making sure they were in no way associated with the company. This alone caused music piracy to fall from 56% to 32%. Wow. Soon after, LimeWire had to shut it's doors.

Now that LimeWire is out of the picture, new data released by the NDP Group shows a decline in overall music piracy. But don't think that this the end of the fight on music piracy. The NPD Group will continue to monitor the Internet.
