The jury has sentenced Boston Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death.

A Federal jury came back with a sentencing of death to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev for his role in the Bostom Marathon bombings. His defense lawyers claimed that he was following his older brother, and that he was remorseful for the suffering he caused.

The prosecuting lawyers fought that Tsarnaev worked side by side with his brother to carry out the crimes in a “heinous, cruel and depraved manner.”

The jury, consisting of seven women and five men, deliberated for 14 hours.

Tsarnaev, 21, will be moved to a federal prison in Indiana where he will stay until his death sentence by lethal injection is carried out. His lawyers will likely appeal.
