Three Winn-Dixie locations in Louisiana that are underachieving will be closing soon.

According to The Advocate, three Winn-Dixie stores located in New Orleans, Slidell, and Lafayette, will be closing it's doors in June.

The stores are located at 4600 Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans, 3803-F Moss St. in Lafayette, and 851 Brownswitch Road in Slidell.

The closures come after it was announced this week that Winn-Dixie will be closing stores in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

Joe Caldwell, spokesperson for Southeastern Grocers who own Winn-Dixie, says that they are trying to keep as many employees as possible, offering them jobs at other stores. There are currently 42 stores in Louisiana with 3,900 employees.

You might remember that Winn-Dixie closed the busy Lafayette location at the corner of Ambassador Caffery and Dulles Dr. early last year.
