St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department is advising motorists to avoid US 90 east in Patterson as crews work to remove the overturned 18-wheeler and clear the scene.

The accident occurred on Highway 90 east near Red Cypress Road.

No injuries have been reported according to KATC.
