Plane Crash On Hwy 90 In New Iberia

Iberia Parish sheriff's deputies have responded to a plane crash in New Iberia. News reports from our sister station KPEL 96.5 indicate that it was a small single engine plane that crashed near Highway 90 and Dubois Road. The pilot was transported to the hospital, and was conscience when they transported him.
Dubois road was shut down for a short period of time. No other injuries are being reported. The pilot was doing "touch and go's" ( take off and landings), and possibly he hit a powerline. An investigation is ongoing.
