It was first reported earlier today that University of Alabama fans drew first blood before the BCS National Championship Game versus #1 ranked LSU. It was reported that Bama fans hacked LSU's official web store and posted images of Alabama Crimson Tide gear instead. The LSU-Bama rivalry is already one of the biggest rivalries in the SEC and in college football, but for the first time ever, the two teams will meet for the BCS National Championship on January 9th at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

Come to find out, it was an error caused by TeamFanShop, the company that handles both LSU and Alabama merchandise. They have since issued an apology.

"Early this morning, LSU fans may have noticed that part of LSU's official online store mistakenly displayed the Alabama Crimson Tide online store," stated Brian Swallow, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for TeamFanShop.

This was the result of human error by a designer and was not the result of a hack by any outside party. At no time was customer information compromised. This error has since been fixed and the LSU Athletics official online store, www.LSUshop.net, is now being displayed properly. We apologize for the inconvenience, appreciate your patience, and look forward to the BCS Championship Game on January 9."
