Teens Spot Attractive Woman, Become Unlikely Heroes After Saving Her From Being Kidnapped
If two teenagers were looking for a way to impress a woman who caught their eye, they sure found one.
Aaron Arias, 19, and Jamal Harris, 17, were driving in suburban Dallas last month when they noticed a good-looking woman in the backseat of the car next to them. While they may have admired her looks, they quickly realized she was actually in the process of being kidnapped, so Arias called 911:
It's me and another guy. So we're checking out the girl in the backseat because, we're like, 'OK, she's kind of attractive' and then all of a sudden the guy is turned back, looking at us. We looked in the backseat and the blonde female in the back was saying 'help me' or something, whispering it."
Arias and Harris followed the driver, who realized he was being tailed and tried to lose them. Cops eventually tracked down the car transporting the woman and arrested the driver, Charles Atkins Lewis Jr., 37, who abducted her at gunpoint after the victim left a party.
The woman, meanwhile, has not been identified, although she met Arias and Harris and gave them a bug as a way of saying thank you.
