Perry Farrell will be taking his Lollapalooza festival to South American once again in 2014, with stops in Chile, Brazil and for the first time ever, Argentina.
It’s been four long years since Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails have played a live show in the U.S., but all that changed yesterday (Aug. 2) when they hit the stage to close out Day 1 of Lollapalooza at Grant Park in Chicago, Ill.
The lineups for the 2013 Lollapalooza festivals in Brazil and Chile have been announced. Lollapalooza Brazil will return to São Paulo's Jockey Club March 29-31, 2013, while Lollapalooza Chile will make its way back to Parque O'Higgins in Santiago April 6-7, 2013.
The 2012 Lollapalooza festival will kick off in Chicago’s Grant Park on Aug. 3-5, but for fans who just can’t get enough, Jane’s Addiction recently announced an official after show on Saturday night.
Lollapalooza’s luster has faded a bit since its Buzz Bin-raiding early ’90s heyday as the premiere rock festival in all the land, but it’s still going strong. In fact, they traveled to Chile last weekend, drawing more than 50,000 fans to a lineup that included Bjork, TV on the Radio, Band of Horses, and the headlining Foo Fighters.
