Winter Storm 2021 has wreaked havoc across Louisiana, with the northern parts of the state taking on a lot of ice and snow. With things in South Louisiana settling down, utilities companies are moving their efforts North to help assist our fellow Louisianans in their recovery efforts.
With icy conditions blanketing Acadiana in a layer of white, many online are sharing their wintery views from different perspectives. You can see aerial drone footage and photos from above the Lafayette here, as they display the rare scenery that has made for quite the photo-op.
Bottom line: don't let the melting snow/ice/slush become a false indication that things are safe. As long as temperatures are near freezing, danger lurks.
You never thought that ice can be a scary thing. But, when it falls over a tower mast, it is falling shards of death. Watch in the video above, as falling ice falls from a radio or television tower mast. The ice had to have fallen from at least 300 feet in the air, which is fatal if you were in it's path.
Right now, we are experiencing record low temperatures in the United States. It's causing a lot of snow and ice to build up on the roads.
