Lafayette Parish Man Dies After Slipping on Ice

Some sad news to share with you all this afternoon.

A Lafayette Parish man has died after he reportedly slipped on ice and hit his head on the ground.

According to KATC TV-3, it's the first death related to the February 2021 Winter Storm in South Louisiana.

The Louisiana Department of Health reports that the man who died was 50-years-old and from Lafayette Parish man.

We remind you to please be careful when walking across solid surfaces that may still be frozen as a result of the storm.
