Revolutionary punk rock band the Sex Pistols will soon be celebrating the 35 anniversary of their landmark album ‘Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols.’ For the 35th anniversary, the band will be releasing a “super deluxe” box set including remastered songs, studio rarities and B-sides, a live DVD, stickers and much more.

After recording ‘Never Mind the Bollocks’ in 1977, the original master tapes were somehow lost and were thought to be long gone for many years. However, the tapes were recently discovered during a recent move from Virgin Records to the Universal Music catalogue. The master tapes have since been remastered by producer Tim Young, with the help of original ‘Never Mind the Bollocks’ producer, Chris Thomas.

Among the discovery of the Sex Pistols’ lost tapes was a demo of the song ‘Belsen Was a Gas,’ which was the only Sex Pistols song long believed to never have been physically recorded. The super deluxe box set will also include the band’s six-track bootleg record, ‘Spunk,’ in its original, untouched form and a selection of unreleased demos and outtakes, some of which feature bassist Sid Vicious.

Along with the remastered ‘Never Mind the Bollocks’ CD, the box set will include a separate album of rarities and b-sides; a third album of a 1977 Sex Pistols performance, most of which has been previously unreleased; a live DVD featuring unseen performances, promo videos and radio interviews; a 100-page diary with quotes, rare and unseen photos, and memorabilia; 7″ vinyl single of ‘God Save the Queen’; a ‘Never Mind the Bullocks’ poster; stickers; and a reproduction of the original handwritten lyrics for ‘God Save the Queen.’

The Sex Pistols ‘Never Mind the Bollocks’ super deluxe box set will be released on Sept. 24. For even more details and a full track list, check out the official Sex Pistols website.
