OWI Checkpoint Canceled In Lafayette (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Lafayette Police have canceled an OWI checkpoint for Friday night.

***************************************************************************************************The Lafayette Police Department has scheduled an OWI checkpoint for this Friday night.

Officers will be looking for any impaired drivers to make sure they are removed from our roadways.

Corporal Karl Ratcliff says officers will respond with zero tolerance to anyone who is found to be impaired.

The checkpoint starts at 9 o'clock Friday night, and the checkpoint will wrap up at 3 o'clock Saturday morning.

The department notes that the checkpoint will be somewhere within the incorporated limits of Lafayette.
