“No Refusal” DWI Checkpoint In Lafayette Parish Friday Night

Louisiana State Police will have a "No Refusal" DWI checkpoint this Friday night in Lafayette Parish.

Troop I Spokesman Brooks David says they want all drivers to make their number one priority for Memorial Day weekend is to drive sober.

David says historically holiday weekends are a time when many crashes involving injuries and fatalities happen due to impaired driving.

They ask that you always designate a driver.

David adds that troopers will be aggressively patrolling the roadways to make sure everyone driving is not impaired.
