It’s been a year since amendments to the Lafayette home rule charter were approved by voters and with yesterday’s vote a key requirement has been met. The charter amendments created two individual 5-member councils for the city and parish of Lafayette. Three of those seats went to run-offs which were decided last night.

Additionally, there are only four “incumbents” from the current consolidated council: Liz Webb Hebert, Nanette Cook, Pat Lewis and Kevin Naquin.

Here are the complete councils which will be sworn-in in January.

Lafayette Parish Council
District 1 - Bryan Tabor

District 5 - Abraham “AB” Rubin
