The wildly popular National Fried Chicken Festival is expanding to three days this year. Put September 20-22 on your calendar for some of the tastiest yard bird in the state of Louisiana, and it all happens at Woldenberg Riverfront Park in New Orleans.

Over 177,000 people attended the festival last year, which included 35 restaurants,  fantastic local entertainment, panel discussions, and the presentation of the 'Culinary Icon Award'. McHardy's Chicken and Fixin' took home the top prize of 'Best Fried Chicken' last year, and Blue Oak BBQ won 'Best Use of Fried Chicken in a Dish'. Check out a recap of last year's festival below, and make plans to attend in a couple of weeks, y'all!
