It’s time to have ‘Sex‘ with Motley Crue on July 17! That’s when the band’s brand new single, dubbed ‘Sex,’ will officially be made available for fans.

Ahead of that date, the song will debut on SiriusXM on Friday, July 13, according to Blabbermouth. So mark your calendars for both of those days later this month, so you can hear, enjoy and then purchase ‘Sex.’ We’re talking about the song, mind you!

The Crue penned the tune during their famed Las Vegas residency, which saw them commandeer Sin City for a few weeks in February. The band recorded ‘Sex’ at The Atrium, which is drummer Tommy Lee‘s studio compound in Calabasas, California. Upon completion of the song last spring, bassist Nikki Sixx proclaimed, “It sounds very much like it’s off of the first record.” If he’s serious about the song’s similarity to the earliest Crue tunes, then hard rock fans are going to be stoked on ‘Sex.’

The song arrives just in time for The Tour, which the Crue will embark on alongside Kiss in one of the most hotly anticipated treks of 2012. That roadshow launches on July 20, so it’s shaping up to be a good month for the Motley boys.

‘Sex’ is the first taste of new Crue since 2008′s ‘Saints of Los Angeles.’

Be sure and tune in for Sixx’s live chat via Best Buy this Friday, July 6. It’s Sixx on the sixth!
