Louisiana Family Searching for Dog Lost After Crash
A Louisiana family is searching for their dog who got loose after a crash on the interstate.
The White Family, of Hammond, is hoping that someone either saw their dog recently or, hopefully, picked him up and is caring for him.
In any case, the Whites would love to have their furry friend home where she belongs.
According to the post from KATC TV3, Justin White was driving on Interstate 55 when he was involved in a crash.
White was able to get his two dogs out of the vehicle safely (it had reportedly caught on fire), but one of the dogs got spooked and ran off before White could secure her.
The missing dog's name is Sage, and she is reported to be a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and is 4 years old.
The crash occurred on Interstate 55 southbound, near mile marker 9.
The family has had the help of friends and total strangers in searching the area where Sage went missing on September 2, but they still haven't found her.
She could potentially be heading NB towards Hammond which is her home. We have signs around Hwy51 and Ruddock/Manshac.
These are pictures of Sage. She is a Ridgeback. 80 pounds. She has a watermelon colored collar.Sage loves people but could get intimidated because of what happened. She loves kind people, who talk sweet and loves keywords like treat, walk, home, ride, etc.
WE THANK EVERYONE FOR THE PRAYERS AND ASK FOR EVERYONE TO KEEP THEIR EYES OPEN AND SUPPORT SAGE IN THAT MANNER.
The family, as you can imagine, is heartbroken and worried tremendously.
If you travel Interstate 55, or know anyone who does or who lives in that area, please ask them to keep their eyes open for this sweet girl so she can find her way home.
