Kings Of Leon Drummer Nathan Followill Announces Another ‘Prince Of Leon’
Following last week’s announcement that Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill and wife/model Lily Aldridge welcomed their first child, daughter Dixie Pearl, into the world, drummer Nathan Followill announced via Twitter that he and wife, singer-songwriter Jessie Baylin, are expecting their first child this December.
It’s quite the birthday present for the eldest Kings of Leon brother, who turned 33 yesterday. The proud parents-to-be have been together since meeting at Bonnaroo in 2006. They were married in a ceremony in their homestate of Tennessee in 2009.
The news is the latest happy dispatch from the superstar family. Jared Followill announced his engagement to girlfriend Martha Patterson last month and Followill cousin Matthew and wife Johanna Bennett celebrated the first birthday of their firstborn, Knox Cameron Patrick Followill, in April.
After a series of tense shows fraught with injuries, illness, and rumored in-fighting, Kings of Leon scrapped a string of stateside shows and announced a brief hiatus in October of last year.
While the band has yet to announce any upcoming plans to tour or return to the studio to record their sixth album, Baylin, the latest Followill mother-to-be, is fresh off the heels of her latest release, the soul-tinged country album ‘Little Spark.’
