Louisiana Man Arrested for Horrific Crimes Involving Children

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPEL News) – Another urgent warning for parents to monitor their children’s online activity—this time in Lake Charles, where a man has been arrested on over 105 felony counts related to child pornography and unlawful deepfakes.

Agents with Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI) took 31-year-old Tyler Quentin Landry of Hodges Street, Lake Charles, into custody after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Charges Filed Against Landry

Landry has been charged with the following felonies:

105 Counts – LA RS 14:81.1E(5)(a) Pornography Involving Juveniles Under 13 (Possession)
3 Counts – LA RS 14:81.1E(5)(a) Pornography Involving Juveniles Under 13 (Distribution)
1 Count – LA RS 14:73.13 Unlawful Deepfake

Attorney General Liz Murrill issued a stern warning:

"If you hurt our kids, you're going to jail. We will not tolerate this in Louisiana."

Louisiana Bureau of Investigation (LBI)
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)

Landry has been booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail, with his bond set at $1.42 million. Authorities confirm that the investigation remains ongoing.
