"The Worlds Grumpiest Cat" may have started out as an internet sensation, but Grumpy's grouchy pout quickly became the star of movies, books and merchandise. In a 2017 story by the HuffPost, Grumpy cats net worth is thought to be in the $100 million range.

In an Instagram post early Friday morning, Grumpy Cat's family announced the loss of the internet's favorite feline at the age of 7.

According to their post, Grumpy passed away on May 14th after complications from a recent urinary tract infection.
