I've driven down W. Congress quite a bit, and it's always there. That "egg." Across from the Cajundome. Just chillin'. Sometimes at night it's lit up like JoBo on the weekend. I've always wanted to know what exactly is in it, and what it does. Now... we can all find out! The Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE) is giving you the opportunity to check out the "egg," and the rest of the cool stuff housed there.

According to their press release, "LITE will be hosting an Open House that is free and open to the public. This will give the community an opportunity to see some of the fantastic projects and partnerships that LITE has been engaged in. Specifically, visitors will have an opportunity to immerse themselves in state of the art medical visualization tools as well as virtual training environments."

It's all happening August 19, 2011. If you'd like to call them, it's 337-735-5483, or www.lite3d.com.
