Help Lafayette Little League Return To The World Series
Last summer, we watched as an entire community rallied behind a group of 12 year olds who fought their way to an appearance at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. This summer, the dream continues for the Junior and Senior All Star Teams from the very same park. The Junior Division is made up of 13 and 14 year olds, and the Seniors are comprised of 15 and16 year olds – with much of their rosters comprised of Little League veterans from years past.
Their journeys to the World Series continues this weekend, after each team won their State finals. Now, they
make the long trek to Seguin, TX and Albuquerque, NM for Regional play – with the winners from each, getting a ticket to their respective World Series in Taylor, Michigan and Bangor, Maine.
Unfortunately, with the high cost of traveling, the challenges they face are not limited to who they face on the
field – which is why a fund has been set up for the 2012 World Series to help the boys of summer reach their dreams. Your help is needed to fund the trips for these incredible guys to continue their journey. Contributions to the fund will go towards family travel expenses, and to help the park provide them with the resources needed to be successful. As a Volunteer organization, Lafayette Little League receives no money from the city, and depends on registration fees and community support alone.
