Elon Musk and Wife Have Changed Their Baby’s Name and I Still Can’t Pronounce It
Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk and his wife, singer Grimes have announced they've legally changed their newborn baby's name from something I couldn't read to something I still can't read.
Insider.com reports Grimes announced to her 1.4 million followers on Instagram this past Sunday (05/24/20) that she and husband Elon Musk have legally changed their baby's name to "X Æ A-Xii from X Æ A-12".
(Imagine me putting a gigantic smiley face emoji here)
The couple apparently made the decision after discovering California State law says that legal names can only include actual letters of the English language. Names can't include "numeric characters or diacritical marks like 'ñ' or 'ç,' which are used to signify pronunciation in other languages" according to insider.com.
You would think California would be the last place on Earth that wouldn't allow emojis and numbers for legal birth names, right?
Anyway, it seems little baby X Æ A-Xii Musk's name is possibly still not legal because of the Æ part.
On Joe Rogan's podcast, Musk says they'll just call him "X".
