Director James Cameron, best known as the director of the two highest-grossing movies of all time, Titanic and Avatar, has broken the record for the longest and deepest solo dive record.

He is working with National Geographic on 'Deepsea Challenge', a project in that he dives (in a high-tech submarine) into the Mariana Trench, the deepest part of the ocean floor. He reached the deepest point yesterday, known as the 'Challenger Deep', which is deeper than Mount Everest is high. Here is a preview of the video of his dive.
