You be the judge.

One thing that I love about crawfish boils in south Louisiana is that everyone seems to have their own way of doing it.

For years we've argued over whether to put the seasoning in the water or to season the crawfish once they are done and in the ice chest.

We've also debated on what belongs and what does not belong in the pot while crawfish are boiling.

Still, after all these years, I don't think we have ever discussed what Kacinda Fontenot posted on TikTok, while at a crawfish boil.

As you will see here, the crawfish are being seasoned once they are dropped into the ice chest, then someone comes with MUSTARD. Yes, the popular condiment is spread over the crawfish as someone continues to mix things up in the ice chest.

Now, I know we use mustard on various things, like when marinating steak, but has anyone ever seen mustard used to add to the flavor of boiled crawfish?

Coming from someone who loves mustard, I would most certainly be willing to try this before questioning its use over crawfish. After all, I have a friend who sprinkles brown sugar over his crawfish and it is great!
