Brandon Scott Lavergne Arrested In Mickey Shunick Case

According to information posted earlier, Brandon Scott Lavergne was arrested in connection with the disappearance of Lafayette woman Mickey Shunick. According the the Louisiana Sex Offender Registry, he is a registered sex offender.

Lafayette Police were searching a home at 143 Elaine Road in Church Point in St. Landry Parish which is believed to be the home of Lavergne. He is also the driver of a white 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. The police were looking for a white Chevy Z-71. Here is the mugshot of Lavergne:

Lavergne has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder.
