Blue Bell Issues Voluntary Recall Of Certain Ice Cream Flavors
Blue Bell Ice Cream has issued a voluntary recall of ice cream containing chocolate chip cookie dough due to the potential for Listeria.
There have been no reported illnesses due to the possible contamination.
The products that are being recalled were made in Blue Bell's Sylacauga, Alabama plant with a chocolate chip cookie dough ingredient supplied by Aspen Hills, Inc.
The types of ice cream that the products were used in are Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in the pint and half gallon sizes, as well as the new Cookie Two Step in the half gallon size.
The ice cream that is potentially contaminated were distributed to ten states. Those states include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The recalled products should not be eaten. Consumers are encouraged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
