As I Lay Dying’s Tim Lambesis Due In Court This Week In Murder-For-Hire Case
As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis is due in court yet again. Facing very serious charges for allegedly attempting to hire a hit man to kill the his estranged wife, Lambesis will report to the North County Superior Courthouse in Vista, Calif. on Friday, Aug. 2.
The Tim Lambesis incident is perhaps the most shocking news story of 2013. The As I Lay Dying singer was taken into police custody on May 7 after he was reportedly busted for the murder-for-hire plot. Lambesis allegedly solicited his wife's murder to an undercover cop, which gave police enough to formally charge Lambesis with the crime.
Since the arrest, Lambesis has been released on $2 million bail; with the singer's lawyer claiming that steroids are to blame for clouding his client's sense of right and wrong.
"The attorney for Timothy Lambesis, 32, is expected to request return of certain items seized by law enforcement during their investigation," reports the San Diego Reader regarding the Aug. 2 court date. "A judge will rule on what personal belongings, if any, will be returned to defendant Lambesis before his preliminary hearing, which is currently set for September. The divorce from his wife Meggan may be finalized by that time."
Lambesis' court appearance will be before Judge Kimberlee Lagotta at 1:30PM PT on Aug. 2. Stay tuned for more updates as news breaks.
