Ancient Lost Egyptian City Discovered In 2000 Being Excavated
The ancient Egyptian port city of Heracleion, also known as Thonis, was discovered in 2000 by underwater archaeologist Franck Goddio. It was located 30 feet under the surface of the Mediterranean Sea in Aboukir Bay, near Alexandria, Egypt.Now, they are excavating the ruins of the ancient city.
