Today, as the New Orleans Saints wrapped up open practice, an airplane dragging a banner that says 'Free Payton' flew over practice.

If you have been living under a rock for the last few months, Saints' head coach Sean Payton has been suspended for the upcoming 2012 season. But, you should already know that. It appears that the banner just didn't fly over the Saints practice facility in Metarie. This photo was taken by Mike Moreau, an eyewitness in Covington.

It would have been pretty cool if the plane would have flown over Acadiana as well. But, it would really be logical if would be flown over NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's office. Safety Roman Harper joked with fans that he was responsible for the air-born message.

The next preseason game for the Saints is this Friday night at 7:00 PM against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The game will be at home inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

WHO DAT!
