Imagine living in the sky. That's essentially what this could be for humans in the not-too-distant future.

What Features Will the Sky Cruise Have

In the billionaire's race to be some of the first people to touch the edges of space just for fun, this is so much more appealing. They probably should have saved their riches for when this is finally a real thing.

This concept video for what is basically a cruise in the sky comes from the YouTube channel of Hashem Al-Ghaili. He's known for taking complex science and making it easily digestible for us lay people via YouTube videos.

The video is pretty easy to understand. The gist is we have the means to build a 5,000-plus person sky hotel, running on nuclear energy, thus rarely having to return to the earth's surface. It would allow for people to live in the sky while circling the globe, getting up close views of the aurora borealis, while us simpletons hung around in the dirt of a planet.

"To hell with planets." - Sky Cruise Residents, probably.

Along with the 20 clean-energy nuclear powered engines to keep you up in the sky, the sky cruise will feature a shopping mall,  sports centers (workout areas), swimming pools, restaurants, bars, playgrounds for children (including arcade games), theaters, and cinemas.

You wanna get married in the sky? No problem! Business meeting? They got you covered. There's plenty of large windowed areas, including a 360 degree viewing deck. The elevators are also facing outward toward the skies.

Will the Sky Cruise Have Regular Flight Problems

But what if you get airsick from turbulence? They figured that out too. With the command deck that uses special AI to predict air turbulence minutes before it happens. THEN, the system kicks in if turbulence is predicted, and prevents any vibrations from happening by emitting anti-vibrations that work like noise cancelling technology, allowing the sky cruise to glide over the vibrations with ease. And why don't we have these on regular planes yet?

If you do get sick on the sky cruise, though, don't worry, they won't send you back to earth. They have state-of-the-art medical technology aboard the plane that will allow for most health related issue to be taken care of.

You might wonder how people would get on and off of this thing, or do they have to stay onboard until they decide to maybe land after a few years. Nope, they would shuttle you using electronic, regular style and sized air planes to get people to and from the sky cruise.

Mechanical work? All done while its in the air. They really did think of everything!

You've probably heard of some luxury cruise ships like The World, the 165-residence (private, of course) luxury cruise ship that travels the world going to the best of destinations, while often timing the trips with actual world events. The cabins are owned by passengers that are able to come and go as they please, meeting the ship in ports.

Clearly, since it's just a concept at the moment, we're not sure how much it would cost to take a ride on the sky cruise plane, but you have to imagine it would be something like The World cruise ship, just...in the sky.
