Maybe with the chemical explosion in New Iberia this week, this little story got over looked a bit. This past Monday, a woman was looking for her lost dog, lost control of her vehicle, and drove her car into the Vermillion River at Rotary Point. That's a bad way to start the week, and after all that, I still don't know if she found her dog.

The Lafayette Parish Sherriff's  Department promptly sent some guys to recover the sunken vehicle, and that's when they discovered a virtual used car lot in the Vermillion! To date, they've recovered 5 vehicles that were sitting at the bottom of the Vermillion off of Rotary Point. I find this strange. It's strange to me because this isn't like a rural area...it's right in the middle of the city! I wonder what they'll discover about these vehicles. Accidents? Insurance fraud? What do you think?
