Woman Wins $42.9 Million On Slot Machine, Casino Offers Her A Steak Dinner Instead [Video]

Katrina Bookman had her entire wold turned inside out this past August when she pulled the lever on a slot machine and won $42.9 million. The casino told her the machine malfunctioned, and that she won nothing. However, they offered her a free steak dinner for her disappointment.

Bookman bounced around as a kid in the foster care system, and spent sometime of her life homeless. She had her dreams shattered when the casino informed her the machine had malfunctioned, and that she won nothing.

The machine she was playing on had a max payout of $6,500, but the casino says they can’t legally pay her that amount. All machines state “Must be 18 to play, malfunction voids payout.”
