Will UL Have A New Campus In 15 Years?

Architects have been hard at work creating a new concept of a campus for UL, and your chance to see the finished product will be on display tonight in Wharton Hall. The new campus would be much bigger, and include some demolition and renovation, as well as new structures.

Steve Oubre of Architects Southwest recently spoke to KATC TV 3 about the new plan. "The plan is a strategy to locate parking on the perimeter of campus where students arrive." Oubre says, "they park and walk in... and every walk would be at the most, ten minutes away." According to Oubre, "the university is thinking about trying to create a connected campus. Today, it's perceived as being two properties- one being the academic and the other, the university common."
