Southeast Louisiana is under a tropical storm warning as tropical storm conditions are expected within the next 36 hours. The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Gordon formed over the upper Florida Keys this morning.

Gordon is expected to move northwest with a landfall anticipated along the Louisiana or Mississippi coastline early Wednesday morning.
Maximum sustained winds at landfall are expected to be around 60 miles per hour. It currently has maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour.
Flash flood watches have been posted for southeast Louisiana as the National Hurricane Center estimates between four to six inches of rain for the northern Gulf Coast, isolated amounts of eight inches.
