Town of Gueydan Issues Stay-at-Home Order
The Town of Gueydan is following suit with Lafayette Parish as they issued a state of emergency today (Monday, February 15).
Mayor Jude Reese has declared the state of emergency will be in effect until Wednesday, February 17 at 6:00 am. A stay-at-home order has also been issued.
As you can see in the Facebook post by Mayor Jude Reese, only town workers, fire personnel, first responders and essential workers will be allowed out in an emergency.
Anyone caught violating the stay-at-home order can be given a citation.
All residents are urged to stay home until the cold weather subsides.
