Things Acadiana Misses – Pizza Playhouse

Pizza Playhouse was a family entertainment restaurant on Kaliste Saloom Rd.

Pizza Playhouse was located at 2311 Kaliste Saloom Rd., next door to the Grand 14. It's now an Our Lady of Lourdes Imaging Center.

Let's not focus on the bad in that it's gone, let's focus on the good, in all of the joy it brought to us as kids.

From the pizza to the arcade and rides, Pizza Playhouse had it all! This place was a kids haven. It had a large arcade, great prizes for all your tickets you'd win, and from what I remember, the pizza was pretty darn good, too.

The atmosphere was great, and who could forget their mascot, Dippy the Dinosaur!

Along with a sighting of Dippy the Dinosaur, you were probably lucky enough to catch the "Great Boudini" performing there as well!
