The Greg Landry ‘Big Red Classic’ Benefit Fishing Tournament September 13th

The 2nd Annual Greg Landry "Big Red Classic" Fishing Tournament is all set for September 13th at Quintana Boat Launch in Cypremort Point. This year, proceeds will benefit the Faith House Crisis Center for Abused Women and Children.

"The 1st annual Greg Landry Big Red Classical was held on August 17th-18th to honor the late Greg Landry who was tragically taken from this earth at the hands of a drunk driver. Greg spent his last day doing what he loved best...fishing! In the wake of Greg's passing, his family decided to come together to put on this tournament in his memory and while doing so raise money for a great local organization. All proceeds from the 1st annual tournament went to the Healing House of Lafayette. Healing House provides hope for grieving children. Greg loved children, especially his grandchildren and his family couldn't think of a more deserving organization to benefit from this event. The first year was a great success and it can only get better from here. Greg's family and friends find peace in being able to turn such a terrible tragedy into something positive in the local community.

This year we have chosen another deserving local charity to partner with for this great event. All proceeds for the 2nd annual tournament will benefit Faith House of Acadiana. Faith House helps women and children escape from domestic abuse. Their ultimate goal is to put an end to domestic abuse. We are looking forward to working with this great organization this year!"
