The Mars Volta

The Mars Volta are no more, but we may have the next best thing. The band's frontman Cedric Bixler-Zavala, guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and onetime drummer Dave Elitch are teaming with Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea to launch a new group called Antemasque.

There's been a mysterious and exciting vibe revolving around the new project launched by Soulfly's Max Cavalera, the Dillinger Escape Plan's Greg Puciato, Mastodon's Troy Sanders and former Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch. The new band has been dubbed Killer Be Killed, and the group have finally released some juicy details on their 2014 debut album.

Fans of The Mars Volta, have much to look forward to, as the band is offering a free stream of their brand new single ‘The Malkin Jewel’ via their official website. Their upcoming album ‘Noctourniquet’ is due out March 27.
