Metallica and Lou Reed's infamous 'Lulu' album will likely go down as one of the most universally panned releases ever. However, the rabid vitriol aimed at Metallica and Lou Reed in response to the album hasn't stopped Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett from being proud of the disc. In fact, Hammett calls 'Lulu' "some of the best stuff we've ever done" in a new interview.
'LuLu', the latest album from Metallica and their first ever collaborative effort with former Velvet Underground frontman Lou Reed, continues to be given mixed to negative reviews. This is the first LP from Metallica not to reach number 1 on the Billboard charts in 20 years.

As we previously posted, Metallica has teamed forces with The Velvet Underground frontman Lou Reed to release a new album called 'LuLu' which is to be released on November 1st. Metallica has been working with Lou Reed, of Velvet Underground fame, recently to put together quite the interesting full length album. The disc is called Lulu, and they've just released a snippet of the single that will be available on iTunes next Tuesday...
