The former planetarium curator at the Lafayette Science Museum has made a very cool donation to the museum in the form of a few mock-ups.

Proceeds from tickets sales and other sales will be used to operate the museum.

The Lafayette Science Museum is located at 433 Jefferson Street.

According to a Facebook post by the Museum this morning, the doors to the downtown Lafayette gem will swing open to the public on Saturday, April 10th.

The event celebrates the 50th anniversary of man's first trip to the surface of the Moon.

There is something pretty cool coming to the Lafayette Science Museum in downtown Lafayette. Their latest exhibit, The Virtual Laboratory Experience, opens up on June 3.

Some of these things listed I wasn't even aware you could do. A Cajun food tour? Sure, I know where all the spots I love to eat are, but this still sounds like a deliciously fun time for a local or a tourist.

The Steampunk & Makers Fair is coming to Downtown Lafayette on Saturday, November 9th and is an all-ages festival by Cité des Arts and the Lafayette Science Museum, showcasing & celebrating Science, Technology, Education, Art and Mathematics! Every year in October, the third floor of the Lafayette Science Museum is the scariest place to be. You have to be real brave to enter the Museum of Fear and every year, it gets more frightening. But it takes a lot of hard work to make it such a great place to get frightened beyond all belief!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Museum Of Fear on it's final night of 2012 at the Lafayette Science Museum! Because of you, it was a major success this year and will be even better next year. Halloween is right around the corner! It's October and also time for the Museum Of Fear, which takes place every Friday and Saturday night in October at the Lafayette Science Museum downtown. Last night, I was out there from 7-9PM and got to talk to quite a few people about their experience this year.

The entire 3rd floor of the Lafayette Science Museum will once again be dedicated to one of Lafayette's biggest, best and scariest haunted houses, The Museum of Fear!
