Someone must have thought booking Lauryn Hill for Voodoo Experience's second day was a good idea.

By now you've heard 'Somebody That I Used To Know' probably more times than you can count. It's one of the biggest songs last and this year. Tiffany Lamson of Lafayette's own Givers, who are on tour with Gotye, sang the female part of that song last night in New Olreans. Check out the video and how great they both sound!

On Sunday night, a benefit concert featuring GIVERS and Vagabond Swing will be held for Mickey Shunick at Parc International, Downtown Lafayette.

Lafayette's own Givers were recently featured on the npr.org music website as a "first listen" spotlight. According to the reviewer, "Givers' music fits neatly into the world of sunny kids who've figured out ways to incorporate Afrobeat into indie-pop. But the songs are there, and good songwriting trumps... well, pretty much everything else."

Lafayette's own Givers have been doing really well for themselves lately. They have a record coming out next month on Glassnote records, they're touring the world, and now they're booked to play the Jimmy Fallon Show on June13th! Congrats and major props going out to Givers...
