When we had Crowbar frontman Kirk Windstein on The Grindhouse a few months ago, he said that Crowbar was about to enter the studio to record some new music. That turned out to be the sessions for their forthcoming new album 'Symmetry In Black', which will be released on May 26th, 2014 via Entertainment One Music.

We've got fantastic news to report from the Crowbar / Soilent Green camps. Drummer Tommy Buckley, who had his prostate removed after being diagnosed with cancer, is now 100-percent cancer-free!

Kirk Windstein, who has been a member of Down, Crowbar and Kingdom of Sorrow, has apparently stepped away from Down to focus on Crowbar. He's the vocalist and also plays guitar for Crowbar, whose last album was 2011's 'Sever the Wicked Hand.'

Crowbar / Soilent Green drummer Tommy Buckley has successfully undergone a prostatectomy after being diagnosed with cancer. Soilent Green posted a message to their fans late last night (Aug. 22) revealing the news that Buckley had his prostate removed entirely at the recommendation of his doctor to prevent cancerous cells from spreading.

Friday night was the Metal Motivation Invasion of Southport Hall in New Orleans! Crowbar, The Devil's Rain, Disciples of Thrash, Delta Doom, Murdercase and Broken By The Burden rounded out this benefit show held for Robbie and Kelly Giarratano.

New Orleans sludge metal masters Crowbar will be playing a benefit show this Friday night at Southport Hall in New Orleans dedicated to two very important people, Robert and Kelly Giarratano.

It is official. In an interview with Patrick Musumeche of 8countnews.com, Rex Brown has officially left Down as their bass player. Pat Bruders from Crowbar is now the band's official bass player.
