Stone Temple Pilots have started unveiling more dates on the tour where they will play their debut album in it’s entirety and are offering fans a unique opportunity to hang with Scott Weiland.

STP are slow-rolling the dates for their upcoming ‘Core 20′ tour — in observance of their debut disc’s 20th birthday — and have just announced a few dates prior to their headlining set at the Rock Allegiance festival. As previously reported, the band will play ‘Core’ front to back, as well as some fan favorites during the set.

In addition, the band is offering meet and greet VIP packages that will allow fans to hang with their ever-unpredictable singer, Scott Weiland. Fans will be able to purchase a VIP package — for an undisclosed price — that will put them in the room with Weiland for at least a few words and a personal photograph with him. Now fans can ask Weiland first hand about what bands he believes he is recording with next [cough --Velvet Revolver -- cough].

Some other perks of the package include a collectible poster, tour tee shirt, laminate, exclusive merch and a reserved seat in the first 10 rows. The highlight of course is getting face-time with Weiland prior to the gig, a luxury that — according to a recent interview with Slash — even his bandmates aren’t afforded in some cases. A new STP album has been mentioned several times in the press, but doesn’t seem to be on the table for the near future. The band will, however, release their first live DVD on June 26.
