Stephen Colbert Sells Himself For 26K!

Well not actually himself... but his self portrait!

The auction for Stephen Colbert's self portrait took place yesterday at Phillips de Pury & Company to help with art education for children. The self portrait sold for $26.000!

Colbert encouraged bidding throughout the auction:

"We're doing this for children."

"If you're not raising your paddle it means you hate children."

"I will personally hang this portrait."

With that said, I probably would have felt guilty enough to bid too!
