Regions Bank On Johnston Street Robbed – Pic Of Suspect

Earlier today the Regions bank on Johnston Street near the Mall of Acadiana was robbed, with the robber leaving behind a bag. He claims the bag has a device in it. Lafayette Police as well as Louisiana State Police, and the Hazmat crew are investigating the robbery.

The suspect is a white male, 5’5″ with a medium build, in his 50′s or 60′s and was wearing a black  baseball cap. The northbound lane of Johnston Street has been closed near the scene between Duhon Road and Ambassador Caffery. The bank has been evacuated along with a few adjacent businesses while police investigate.
