Queen + Adam Lambert Bringing ‘Rhapsody’ Tour To New Orleans In 2019
Queen + Adam Lambert are coming to the Big Easy in the summer of 2019.
Tickets for the "Rhapsody" tour go on sale this Friday (December 7).
Now that Bohemian Rhapsody has become the biggest music biopic ever, there's been a huge Queen resurgence. The song that the movie is named after rose back onto the charts for the third time (the other after Wayne's World's now classic car-headbanging scene).
Original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor will be joined by 2009 American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, who has fronted the band since 2011, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on August 20th.
May said in the press release:
“This is a great opportunity. Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever, and got us our best notices ever. So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious! Watch out, America!"
The touring line-up is rounded out by long-term collaborator Spike Edney on keyboards, Neil Fairclough on bass, and Tyler Warren on percussion.
