Purchase Of Women’s And Children’s Hospital Finalized

The purchase of Women's and Children's Hospital by Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center has been finalized. The new agreement takes effect as of today. The sale of Women's and Children's by HCA Healthcare will also include several other aspects of the healthcare facility.

According to a release from Our Lady of Lourdes, the sale includes The Cancer and Infusion Center, the Elaine M. Junca Women's Imaging Centre, Lafayette Surgicare, and several other physician practices and clinics.

Our Lady of Lourdes submitted a non-binding letter of intent to purchase Women's and Children's in June of 2018. That letter indicated that should the sale go through it would happen within 90 to 120 days.

Back in June, Bryan Lee, CEO of Our Lady of Lourdes offered these comments on the proposed sale.

We look forward to a successful expansion of care in this community, working alongside the medical staff and nearly 800 team members at Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
